Bitcoin

Bitcoin was the first cryptographic currency or cryptocurrency, and the first ever implementation of a blockchain, the shared ledger technology that underpins almost all crypto platforms. The Bitcoin network was launched in 2009 by an anonymous developer known as Satoshi Nakamoto, making it the first form of true peer-to-peer electronic cash. It has remained the largest cryptocurrency network by total value, and seen increasing adoption by individuals, corporations and financial institutions as a store of value, becoming known as ‘digital gold’.

Ethereum (ERC20)

Ethereum was the first smart contracts platform to be launched, in July 2015, and remains the largest and most popular of all the smart contract networks in the blockchain space. Smart contracts are code that executes trustlessly on the blockchain, and Ethereum enables users to run ‘Turing complete’ software of theoretically any complexity – paving the way for the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) movement of open, trustless financial applications and protocols.

BEP20

BEP20 (Binance Chain Evolution Proposal no. 20) is a common token standard on Binance Smart Chain, one of the largest smart contract and DeFi platforms. BEP20 is an extension of ERC20, the most popular token standard for Ethereum. TimeX supports trading in several major BEP20 tokens, including BUSD, Dai, USDT and BTC, as well as Binance Smart Chain's native token, BNB.
