FBX, the native token of GameFi aggregation platform ForthBox, is now trading against USDC on the exchange.
TimeX has listed FBX, the token that powers the ForthBox ecosystem. As the currency of ForthBox’s GameFi network, FBX can be used to buy NFTs and to vote on governance decisions, staked to earn, and much more.
What is ForthBox?
ForthBox is a relative newcomer to the Web3 space but has emerged as a strong presence in the blockchain gaming sector. Instead of offering a single game, the platform acts as a GameFi service provider that enables developers to integrate blockchain technology and NFTs into their software, quickly and easily – converting regular games into P2E titles.
As well as providing this blockchain toolkit to help accelerate GameFi adoption, ForthBox is actively engaged in developing its own titles. With over 20 of its own developers, the studio intends to release over a dozen of its own blockchain games in the ‘Avatar’ metaverse series in the coming months, with Space War being the first.
The aim is not only to provide developers with the tools they need to create blockchain games, but to launch a vibrant metaverse to attract the first community of players and provide a setting for new games. To complement its own titles, ForthBox has also incubated more than 100 blockchain games created by external developers.
About FBX token
FBX is the native currency of the ForthBox platform, and the utility and governance token for the coming ForthBox DAO.
FBX is a BEP20 token (see contract address) hosted on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), though in future ForthBox will expand to become a multi-chain ecosystem. FBX is used for all major interactions on the platform, including:
- Native currency for NFT purchases
- ‘Feeding’ and maintaining character NFTs
- Staking
- Yield farming
- DAO governance
- SocialFi
In addition to well-known use cases like staking and governance, ForthBox has added some more unusual and innovative examples to its token. ‘SocialFi’ enables participants to earn through engaging in social interactions, monetising their communication with other players. Platform NFTs, known as ‘Ham’, can also be ‘fed’ FBX tokens, which increases their hashrate and enables users to share mining dividends, as well as participate in the metaverse.
The token has a limited supply of 1 billion FBX, with no more ever being minted. ForthBox platform revenues are fed into the market, with FBX regularly being bought and burned.
